Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Minnesota Valley Humane Society. We rely on volunteers to complete our mission. We are looking for energetic, self-motivated, independent volunteers to help us at our facility in Burnsville. MVHS will provide you with all the training you need. The training will take a minimum of 16 hours and consist of the following:

  • Orientation that will give you an introduction to MVHS and it’s mission

  • Lectures, hands on classes and discussion groups for every position
  • Mentored shifts that will make sure you are 100% comfortable with the position you chose

We do need you to remain a volunteer for at least six months and to volunteer at MVHS at least twice a month. All positions do require a schedule.
